Pola: S + had + Verb 3

·      Menyatakan suatu kegiatan yang terjadi sebelum kegiatan lain terjadi di waktu lampau, biasanya ada dua atau lebih kegiatan yang beriringan.

Rumus:

Past perfect tense + before + Simple past tense

Atau

Before + Simple past tense + Past perfect tense

Atau

After + Past perfect tense + Simple past tense

Contoh: 

- I had read the book three times

- Jill had gone to the store before She went home.

- Before Damara went to work studio, She had played his phone

- After Roy had played his drum, he ate a banana
